The Royal Enfield Himalayan, an adventurous motorcycle, as it sounds it is the same. It is an ‘all rounder’ motorcycle manufactured by The Royal Enfield which was launched in 2016. It is designed by ‘Pierre Terblanche’ and his design team.

The idea of making Royal Enfield Himalayan was conceived by Siddhartha Lal, the CEO of Royal Enfield, for the purpose of adventure and sports. This motorcycle is famous for its simplicity, design, good suspension and journey in all rough & tough areas. It is the first choice of adventure loving people.
This motorcycle differs from other motorcycles offered by Royal Enfield in terms of its chassis and powertrain. In early 2016, this motorcycle was released firstly in India & later on in other countries such as Philippines, Australia and the United Kingdom in the same year.
The export model includes Electronic Fuel Injection as well as ABS.
Royal Enfield Himalayan DESIGN
The engine named LS410 indicating its long- stroke and that of 411cc. It consists of a single cylinder, oil cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine.
If we talk about its style, so, it has no fancy curves and creases but still very useful and loving among people. It gives a mileage of 45 KMPL and fuel capacity of this bike is 15 liters. The motor engine generates a power output of 24.5 bhp at 6,500 rpm and max. The torque of 32 nm at 4000-4500 rpm. The engine also includes an oil cooler. Through Carburettor, fuel is supplied to the engine.
This is a machine made to run in the hilly areas and thousands of km to the most challenging terrain. That’s why it is so loving for its dual purpose, versatility, and adaptability to all kinds of terrain.
It has the half-duplex, split –cradle frame & long travel suspension which are its basic features. It is currently available on BS IV compliant engine only.

The models which are the electronic fuel injection based are known as ABS. They have different features such as their electric system is 12 volt – DC. Its battery is 12 volt, 8 AHMP. The headlamp is 60/55 W, halogen and that of the tail lamp shows LED position lamp & also have turn single lamp of 12 V.

The feature of The Royal Enfield Himalayan includes fuel injection to make it BS-IV compliant. This bike has large spoked wheels, 19 – inches at the front and it is made for the dual purpose to ride over rough terrains.
It has a digital odometer, analog speedometer, and tachometer. There is a presence of fuel gauge and stepped seat.
There are two trip meters which are of a digital one. It also consists of the low battery indicator, pillion grab rail, pillion seat, and pillion boot rest.
It gets started with electricity. The electric system is of 12 VDC and that battery is 12 V- 8 AH VRLA.
This bike is also having features like a turn signal, pass light, clock, braking system. So, with all these features makes this motorcycle a thunder bike facing all the challenges and topmost choice of the adventures.
