The Japanese multinational corporation, Kawasaki, has launched its new Kawasaki Ninja 400 (2020) by December. Ninja 400 renders better performance than the earlier models due to its powerful and lighter engine and chassis.

It gets a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC parallel-twin, 8-valve engine with displacement produced of 399cc to deliver performance and controllability. The power churned up is 47.6 Bhp and peak torque of 38 Nm.

Like Ninja ZZR1400, it gets largest disc brakes measuring 310mm adding to its stopping power. Featuring the latest ABS unit from Nissin, which is the most compact and lightweight. The high-tensile steel trellis frame is similarly lightweight as Ninja H2.

The new 400 tops out at 160kmph. It comes mated with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The Assist & Slipper clutch, based on racing technology, acts both as a rear-torque limiter and self-servo mechanism that enables a lighter clutch lever pull.

Weighing in at just 168kg and 14 litres petrol fuel tank, makes it agile in urban traffic and easy to handle.
Coming to its design and colours, Metallic Spark Black, Pearl Blizzard White, Lime Green and Lime Green/Ebony (KRT Edition), with fresher redesigned honeycomb graphics.

The twin-LED headlamps, position lamps and tail lamps give it a more attractive and aggressive look. The Ninja 400 rides on 41mm telescopic forks for the front and a mono-shock at the rear. It has 6-speed return transmission and sealed chain drive. Aiding to its comfort, its seat height of 785mm and slim design gives the rider a better and unobstructed reach to the ground.

The elevated handle position and slightly foot-forward footpeg position delivers to rider comfort. At the front, the suspension is taken care of by 41mm telescopic forks and gas-charged and linked monoshock damper at the rear. Brakes are applied via 310mm front disc brake and 220mm rear disc brake. It gets Dual Channel ABS, manual transmission and wheelbase of 1370mm and a ground clearance 140mm.

As of now, the company has not made any clear announcement about Ninja 400 launch date but it is expected to launch this December or by January 2020. The price estimated as per Delhi ex-showroom is Rs. 4.99 Lakhs.
